For those who have followed me for a while, you may remember this photo.

Beautiful view from the little holiday cottage, looking out to Snowdon.
Lovely, stunning… unless you have a desire to get up it… and the energy to get back down it!
That mountain is 1085m to her peak, and I want to do it!
We’re going up hopefully end of july, so I’ve got quite a bit of work to do!
Many times over the years I have written down some kind of exercise routine, but I think I just like lists, I never put the plan into action.
Now if I’m gonna be fit enough to do Snowdon by foot (and possibly hands and knees) then I don’t think the exercises I was doing last year are going to be enough. Absolutely fine for general fitness, just not enough for 1085m and several hours of continuous exertion.
So, given how reporting in daily helps to keep me motivated and accountable, I’m now going to show you my latest exercise plan! Hoping once I’ve stuck it out there I can’t wimp out 😳
Anyway, here’s February’s plan, not a lot going on with it, but a chance to start thinking more seriously about my fitness, understanding I need routine and a start to increasing the intensity within these next few months.

The hill is one I call ‘the bitch’, but quite seriously if i can’t do that, I’ve no chance!
Below is March’s plan as well, it might change as I’ll keep reviewing, but it gives you an idea of my thought process.

Anyway, mammoth task, but what a reward if I succeed!
Wish me luck!
This is a great idea; but it might be worth putting in some distance targets for walking, rather than just time based, so it is second nature to walk for 10miles by the summer.

I will not wish you luck, as you don’t need it, you can do it, you have your heart set on your goal and with that, you have all the motivation you need, keep thinking about how amazing you are going to feel at the end, the sense of accomplishment, I had planned a walk last summer to do on the holiday I didn’t get on, but at home I did it, ok, it would take someone like you maybe 55 mins, its took me over 3 hours to just do the distance at home, but wow how fantastic I felt, if you want to do it, you can, I have every faith in you x

This sounds so cool! You can definitely do this. I’d like to someday hike up a small mountain, but I couldn’t even when I was on vacation in Switzerland in 2012 and I was at least 20lbs lighter than I am now then.

Thank you 😊. Time will tell if I am able to get myself fit enough, but I promise you if I can do it anyone can.

You can do it! You’ll absolutely SLAY that mountain in July! Also, I laughed really hard about your hill, “the bitch.” I’ve got one of those that I call Death Hill.

Thanks Sam 😀. It is a beautiful part of the world, and with the right weather the views are incredible. With luck I’ll be seeing those views after getting myself up and not using the train 😆

Awesome goal!
Your planning and commitment will get you to the top! I bet the view will make every second of the journey worth it. It is inspiring seeing others committing to awesome goals and working towards them. I too am trying to keep myself accountable to fitness and weight loss goals with a new blog. I will use you and your journey as inspiration!
I look forward to more!
