Damn it!
3lb on this week! But, it’s menstrual meltdown week, party weekend last weekend. Then last night, although enjoyable and healthier wasn’t the best, and the same this morning. And we’ve weighed a good few hours later than normal.

So I felt annoyed and rebellious, and as our day has been all out of kilter and we have no quick food in the house, we decided on pizza or fried chicken for dinner!
So, my day!
I was at a hotel last night, and that means…. COOKED BREAKFAST! For those not in the know on a full English, bacon, egg, sausage, mushrooms, tomato, beans, black pud, hashbrown and toast (fried bread preferred). And as it’s a hotel brekkie there’s loads of other stuff too, more toast, jams, honey, tea, juices, pastries, cereals etc etc etc!
So I had…
A portion of cheese and small slice of ham, followed by fat free natural yoghurt with walnuts, raisins, and orange pieces. I guessed about 28g nuts, and about 1 portion of fruit and veg. 1 x 150ml orange juice, 1.5 teas with a total of 1.5 level teaspoons of halfspoon which I brought with me from home.

Then, poached eggs on toast, and I left half the toast! Oh, and I had a mouthful of hashbrown from mum’s plate!

So, not my normal beans on toast, definitely an indulgent breakfast, but with 2 portions of dairy, 2 portions of fruit, healthy proteins and carbs, a pleasing treat breakfast.
The middle part of the day has been a bit of a blur, visiting my friend, a couple more cups of tea (I need to restock her with my halfspoon sugar) and a glass of water.
Paul and I finally caught up with each other about 4 this afternoon and then the dreaded weigh in!
And that’s when, hungry, tired and annoyed, I decided on KFC. And a Bailey’s when we get home.
I changed my mind to Pizza Hut, Paul’s preference.
BUT – I have not disappointed myself… who knew Pizza Hut did flatbread pizzas! WOOHOO!
We choose two different pizzas and shared, total calories for both was 1000 calories! We also had a couple of salad bowls, mine had beetroot, onion, sweetcorn, Apple, a small drizzle of dressing and about a teaspoon of crunchy bits.

So I feel as if my angry inner brat has had her way, but actually at a guess the dinner was 600ish calories and I got in another 1.5 – 2 portions of fruit and veg!
I shall definitely have flatbread pizza again, it really did feel like a naughty treat!
Oh, and a glass of Pepsi max.
And as for the Bailey’s?
I’ve left the creamy stuff alone, and gone for a long Tia Maria with max instead!
I’m so pleased I’ve not completely gone off on a baddy. I know the reasons for the figure on the scales, I also know I’ve done well for the majority of the week, so yep, no need to worry 😊.
Roll on next week 😀, nearly at the 2 stone mark!
I just ate but that made me feel like I need to eat again!😂😂 But it’s normal to gain some weight back and lose it again. Most likely because it’s shark week it’s that plus water weight. Just take it for what it is and move on!

Sorry 😁. You’re so right, it is all about taking the rough with the smooth and just moving forwards and not backwards 😀

Speaking of beans on toast trying that for breakfast tomorrow, and if only hotels offered poached eggs here in America, they only ever offer scrambled or an omelette (usually with cheese)

Hope you like the beans on toast 😊
Wow, I like scrambled eggs and omelettes, but I’d be gutted if I couldn’t get a poached egg! What about fried eggs?

Nope, although my wife said sometimes you can find hard boiled, but I’ve yet to see that. The only time eggs have ever been served different is if we stay in a bed & breakfast, then there is more creative variety.

I’m really feeling inspired to get back on track. Preparation is key. Also go you for having a treat but still choosing healthier options- the flatbread pizza looks delicious!

Great words, preparation is so vital! Thank you, I was surprised to see there was a healthier option so it was nice to feel naughty and virtuous at the same time 🤣. I’m so glad you’re feeling more motivated to get back to it, I met a lady on Friday night who had taken 5 years to go from a size 18 to a size 12. Although there were lots of ups and downs on her journey, the overall downward trend won out in the end. And her joy knowing she had changed her way of life was obvious. We can do it too, dispite the slips 🤗

I think that’s the key thing for me, we might slip but as long as we keep going we’ll get there 😊
