The last few days…

Hi all, hope you are safe and well.

This last week has been rough, not for any particular reason… yes mum’s probably had the bug, but she’s feeling much better now. I think the combination of hormones (still not come on, wondering if I will) and then knowing I couldn’t mix with work mates, friends and family just dragged me down.

I’ve also felt increasingly annoyed at myself for lack of exercising, which just dragged me down a little bit more!

Today has been a much better day, not for physical health, but for mental health.

Amy and Katie popped in, they kept their distance. It was lovely seeing them both.

My mum in law had her latest check up, so pleased to report she is one year cancer free 🥰

Tomorrow is mother’s day, today is the day I would have gone shopping for something nice. Obviously this can’t be done, so I decided to make a couple of focaccia loaves and a bakewell tart.

I’ll take half of what I’ve made round to mum’s tomorrow, she does love a bakewell, and I’m sure she’ll enjoy the bread.

Luckily I bought her a card a few weeks ago!

I still won’t be able to give mum a hug, and we’ll keep a good couple of meters apart, but at least I can still show her my love and gratitude.

Those burnt looking things are me using up the rest of the pastry for cherry jam tarts. They weren’t too bad, Paul and I just about managed to force them down 😆

Had a letter to call the doc regarding my latest sample. There is something there so he wants me to go in and talk to the other doc who has more experience with women’s issues. So I’ll be getting a urology referral I expect. Wouldn’t it be great if they could help in the constant nightly loo stops!

Food wise we’ve been mostly good, although there are a couple of confessions.

During the day I had my normal foods, evening foods were also healthy.

Spag bol!
Liver!

Tonight isn’t going to be good, tonight is going to be cured meats, olives and bread with balsamic vinegar and oil.

There has also been two alcoholic drinks, ameretto with Pepsi max, 3 chocolate squares and some crisps, and not the healthier kind!

I haven’t weighed today due to isolation, so that’ll have to wait until next week now.

So, here I am, feeling annoyed with myself about lack of exercise, pleased with most the food choices, and almost ready to start exercising again!

Stay safe my friends, stay healthy.

Bye for now!
