Let’s start with fluids – 1.5 litres today – WOOHOO! There were 2 teas, 1 with halfspoon sugar, and the other with two full fat sugars. A glass of milk – but idiot that I am I had it in one go, so had to apologise, profusely, to my poor work mates who were deafened by my stomach! Two runs to the loo, and I was fine again.
I think I’m gonna change to a milk alternative! Any suggestions or advice will be gratefully received 😁
Food, 1 egg, 25g nuts, cherries, strawberries, grapes – not quite enough for two portions, so I added some raisins as well. My usual salad.
Tonight we had gammon, and we bought smaller ones with fat removed. I then cut into small pieces and cooked with a few squirts of 1cal, dried sage and tumeric, added in a good three handfuls of quartered mushrooms, 1 chunked up pepper and four roughly chopped spring onions. Once it had all simmered down for about five mins I added a good amount of garlic puree and a teaspoon of Dijon mustard, and let it cook through for about 7 minutes. Along with this I cooked wholewheat pasta, and drained it when it was just about cooked. Emptied all contents into saucepan (No point dirtying a bowl 😁), mixed altogether. Dish up and gobble away 😋

I really don’t want yoghurt tonight, so foodwise, that’s it.
Exercise – yep! Pleased to report, that despite really not wanting to do them today, I forced myself. All three programmes. Done!
Now to Paul – so Paul has done really well so far this week. He doesn’t like the salad, but he thinks a Greek salad is alright, so I shall do that for him next week. He doesn’t like tomatoes, so I shall ruin the salad a bit by taking them out. I’ll add the five bean salad to substitute.
I know he gets hungry at times, I’ve suggested increasing his food, but he feels that’s just adding more calories. But I don’t want him to feel hungry, that’s not what my journey, or his journey is about. I haven’t felt hungry and I’m succeeding, as far as I am concerned, hunger is not something we should be worrying about. Quite besides anything else, if you’re hungry you’re more likely to hunt down whatever food you find, and it’s usually bad! (I know the farmshop he works close to, he’ll hunt down their lovely scotch eggs).
And, in my mind it’s not a sustainable healthy lifestyle change. We’ve come to a compromise – we’ll discuss his daily foods after he’s weighed in. 😊
My daughter has just phoned, she’s bored and wants some company and is coming to see us, better unlock the front door 🤣
So that’s my good day today. Hope your day has been good also, and wishing you a good day tomorrow.
Some dairy alternatives you could try are coconut, almond or soy milk. I really like unsweetened almond milk.
