14th Jan – surprisingly lovely dinner!

Hey all,

Today has been the kind of work day I’m glad to see the back off. There was nothing particularly bad about the day, not overly busy or anything, I’m just glad to be home.

I’m full on into monthly meltdown at the moment, a bit odd as I didn’t seem to get a week of warning signs, and I’m sure I’m a week early, but I could be mistaken and just lost track given everything that’s been going on.

I’m pleased I’m menstruating now, I’ll probably put a bit of weight on this week, meaning I can then have 3 week solid of (hopeful) successes, whereas I was expecting a loss this week, then a gain next week. Not what I want as I try to get back into the swing of things.

My stomach hurts, as does my coccyx, and I’ve had an annoying headache, but normal ibuprofen and paracetamol seem to be keeping it all at bay.

Usually at this time I just want to curl up with my throws, I’m actually considering going for a walk, even though it’s raining cats and dogs! I mean, this is very odd for me!

So on to my day…

Food – 40g natural nuts, 90g dried fruits, 1 hard boiled egg, prawn salad. I’ll take a pic of my salad tomorrow.

I was fairly peckish when I came home tonight so was a bit worried about dinner. We’re trying a meat free day a week again, and today we had falafel, wholewheat pitta, loads of salad and Sainsbury healthy red pepper humus. To my hungry and food loving mind, I was thinking this is a glorified sarnie… I LOVED it! And after half my pitta I knew one was definitely enough!

And even better… as my mum’s in New Zealand at the mo, I’m not going to lunch on Fridays, I only have salad for tomorrow and Thursday, so I mixed my normal salad with the left over salad, the mozzarella, tinned beans and extra prawns, and now have 3 HUGE tubs of salad to see me through the full week… RESULT!

I’ve prepared Greek yoghurt with seeds and honey for supper. After our walk I think 😋.

Fluid – 200ml lactose free milk, 5 cups of tea, 1 glass of water. I drank about half a can of Pepsi max yesterday (I reported a full can as I assumed I would have it) so I’m gonna finish that off tonight.

Exercise – none yet, but our walk will be no less than a moderate half hour. I’ll post a quick update on that when I’m back home.

So for now…. bye 🤗
