Evening all, hope you are well and that Monday hasn’t been to traumatic a day 😁
I think I heard Paul’s alarm go off at 6 this morning, but I certainly didn’t get up.
This evening was girls night with my mum and sister. It was lovely catching up 🙂 my sister’s husband (such a sweety 💖) has bought a weekend in Venice for my sister’s upcoming birthday, so we’re crossing fingers and toes this virus won’t put a stop to their break.
Anyway, on to the day!
Sleep – I felt as though I had a good night’s sleep last night! Only 1 loo stop!

Food – 40g natural nuts, 60g dried fruit, 1 cheese portion, prawn salad for lunch. And 1 little chocolate… you know those chocs I resisted last week, not so good today, 1 found it’s way into my mouth!
Mum cooked a gammon joint, sprouts and boiled spuds, not as much as usual, although more than enough, because she had a treat in store! I did take a pic, but it’s disappeared.
PANCAKES!
Now, people, there is only one way to eat pancakes!
Lemon juice and sugar!
And no one will ever convince me there is a better way!
So, we had two rolled pancakes each with lemon juice and (for me) 1.5 teaspoons of sugar… on each!
YUM!
Thankfully I managed to squeeze ‘a bit’ of exercise in! More on that in a mo.
Fluid – 200ml milk, 4 cups of tea, 2 cans Pepsi max.
Exercise – so, I came home to finish my working day, and as going round to mum’s, I knew I would get a little walk in. But then I thought, actually it doesn’t need to be a small walk, no, I could aim to be at mum’s at 7ish, so I could actually get a 45 minute minimum walk in! Didn’t even have to think about it, just realised I had the time, and why not!
So I walked hard, even going uphill just presented me with the challenge to keep the pace up!
I even took the ‘wrong’ turn Paul and I ended up taking last week, just to keep the walk going,
And, further more, I crossed the road at the zebra crossing, just so further down the road I would have to walk back over the road by going over the bridge!
So pleased with my exercise mindset today!
I do have a question which I’m hoping someone can answer. When you see the following pic you’ll see my tracker (and I believe it) shows me working at maximum heart rate. Does anyone know if this is dangerous?

So if anyone does know the answer, please do comment.
In the meantime, I’m counting this as one of my two 45 minute walks, with 50 minutes of vigorous activity and 7 minutes of moderate activity.
So there we have it, my rather pleasing day!
Night 😊
Maybe look up the device manual online to see what it means about maximum heart rate – there should be an explanation there. Well done on your walking motivation 🙂

Its hard to tell the actual figures from the graph, but it looks like you were working out in the 165-175 bpm range for most of the time which, unless you have health issues should be fine.
How did you feel when you were working out at that level?
If you didn’t have a HR tracker and didn’t know what it thinks “max HR” should be would you feel you were pushing too hard?

Thanks Sam, I felt knackered but fine. No known health issues. Took me longer to recover my breath. Guess I’m just being a bit of a wimp 😁

not being a wimp 🙂
Its not a silly thing to ask and taking longer to get your breath back is understandable 🙂
