Hey all, hope the day has been good for you.
I’ve felt strong today, I’ve enjoyed the outdoor exercise, I’m feeling really positive. I don’t know why, especially as I’m sparodically cramping with the dreaded monthlies. I don’t know if it’s the non smoking, I don’t if it’s actual or mental. I don’t care. It’s a great feeling!
As much as it’s been a pleasure with Sofia this week, I’m glad we now have no kids for the coming week!
Saying that, our kid, Amy, invited me and Paul to go to the beach, on asking who would be driving, us or them, turns out Katie refused point blank to drive… hence our invite 🤣.
Katie then asked if we wanted anything towards the cost of the picnic! Obviously we said no, and knowing Katie won’t touch the salad Paul and I planned for ourselves, we’ve now gone out and bought quite a bit of picnic food!
I’ve had a weird thing on my walks in the last few months, after walking I have a bruised feeling on my left heel. No idea what it is, I usually have extreme pain on every step I take for a few steps then nothing, and it usually only lasts until the following day. I’m guessing that as I get back upto speed with my walks I won’t experience this. We’ll see. My foot is hurting now but will hopefully be OK tomorrow!
Anyway, enough of tomorrow, let’s get on with today.
Sleep – very broken again, and in total about 6.5 hours. Don’t feel too bad though.

Fluid – 200ml milk, 3 glasses of water (just), 1 can Pepsi max, 2 cups of tea. Oh, and a well deserved welsh liqueur!

Food – 40g natural nuts and 75g dried fruits for breakfast.
For lunch our usual greek salad, hummus, couscous, Maltese bread and just a mouthful of chicken.

I did have cookie at my sister in laws.
Dinner was healthier fish and chips. And sprouts! Don’t know why, just had a real hankering. It’s been ages since I’ve had a sprout, and they are one of my faves!

And then a babybel so I can claim dairy target hit!
Exercise – a really pleasing day! Started with youtube hasfit strength training which is about 20 minutes. I’ve switched back up to my 2kg weights on some of the exercises and I’m really pleased about it as I thought it would take me longer than a week to get back to that. I was charging my watch so no screenshot.
Then we stopped off at Irchester Park on the way to taking Fia home. We went all through the hilly woods again and I’m sure my thighs are feeling and looking stronger already! I don’t see how really, but I feel it, so it pleases me 😁
Oddly, my watch didn’t record all our walk, so I’m having to use Paul’s screenshot again! I wonder if my watch just gives up through the woods.

After spending time with Karen (Paul’s sister, Fia’s mum) we came home and immediately cooked dinner, after this we walked to our local supermarket for provisions for tomorrow. It wasn’t an energetic walk, just another opportunity to get some more steps and activity in.

Challenge board – I only just made the dairy and water

So, it’s good to know I’ve hit my exercise targets with a day still to go (Not counting Sunday as I’ll be busy), and pleased I added water and dairy as today I wouldn’t have hit either of those targets had I not had the board!
All in all a great day. I am looking forward to bed, but there’s frivolous tv to watch for an hour or two first.
G’night all
