20th Oct 2019 – well, food was ok on calories, YEEES exercised to the ground!

Evening all, hope your weekend was a good one, and that you are ready for the week ahead.

My day has been taken at a good pace. A nice lay-in following a great nights sleep – only up two times during the night – WOOHOO!!!!

We went to the shops for some salad bits and dinner (hmmmm, more on that in a moment!)

Paul has now gone to watch Amanda Palmer with my daughter (I think they both fancy her!) which leaves me a bit of time to actually do some things just for me, so I’ve prepped mine and Paul’s salads, boiled our eggs, tubbed it all up. Paul had already portioned out fruit and nuts. And the rest of my evening is dedicated to doing a couple of blog posts and relaxing with (probably another cup of tea) while reading through your posts πŸ™‚

I’ve changed my salads, the following makes up 6 lunches and contains nearly 4 portions of fruit and veg, full daily portion of pulses, more than 1 portion of dairy and with a tablespoon of healthy dressing exactly 400 calories:

  • 200g spinach
  • 250g beetroot (not pickled)
  • half cucumber
  • 60 olives
  • 120g peppers
  • 2 x 400g five bean salad (drained weight 480g)
  • 2 x 200g feta cheese

Now, when you read about my dinner, my excuse is that we did not have anything else to eat other than a cookie this morning! For those that follow me, you’ll know that I’m not interested in counting calories…. UNLESS… I’m not eating my healthy, nutritional choices. As is the case today!

Well, there’s only so much I can do to convince myself and you dear people that today was perfectly acceptable – it was NOT, not when I’m striving for nutrition – however, it was bloody lovely!!!!!

So, without further ado….

Breakfast – 1 cookie!

Dinner – belly pork, oven cooked sweet potatoes and steamed beans and tenderstem broccoli.

For my future reference, that hunk of meat there, about…. wait for it…. 800 calories!

Fluid – 2 cans of pepsi max – I KNOW, I KNOW!!!! 2 cups of tea and 500ml water.

Exercises – 20ish minute stretching exercises, 10minutes (I thought it was about 11 mins) of moderate cardio, 15min strength exercises – YES – there is a bit of my day I am proud off πŸ˜€

So, that’s me, not over the recommended 1500 cal intake if dieting, but missing out on all that lovely dairy…. At least I’ve had plenty of protein πŸ˜€

Good night dear people, speak soon.

My eyes – day 10/21 – product trial

It’s very strange just treating one eye, in a way I’m glad any effects of the treated eye don’t seem to be miraculous, otherwise I’d be looking ever so odd with one non-baggy 🀣🀣🀣

Anyway, here’s my eye comparison photos for today. As usual, if you see a comment from pic 1 to pic 2, do let me know which eye as your looking at pic, and if no difference, please let me know none.

Day 10/21

As ever, Thank you 😊

Tally-ho!

19th Oct 2019 – a strange day!

Hey all, first off, confession time… I didn’t do my exercises last night, and I am gonna be an outrageous aunty and blame two gorgeous nieces 😜, I read to them for longer than I intended, and the little terrors didn’t fall asleep πŸ˜†. I could have… indeed should have done exercises, but… Well… wicked nieces – as I say, I’m a mean ole aunty 🀣

This morning the monsters had me up at a non human time, the type of time that should only ever be seen once a day.

But they ate brekkie, and were very willing morning washers and dressers, they even helped me tidy the bedroom and repack their bags, all ready for their mummy to pick them up at 8.30 this morning.

And then, because we can, we went straight to bed for a couple of hours – Oh the joys of being an overnight carer only. I’m way too old for early mornings!

My sleep was disturbed, first by my friend, then by my daughter! So, up we got.

We weighed, I was at first disappointed with a 1lb weight loss, ridiculously so, a conclusion I came to as I was munching my way through a subway!

I thought about my week, and my meal out last Saturday would have been a good few thousand calories, I reckon around 2 to 3 days worth of calories. Take into account the alcohol last night, another few hundred calories, and chocs throughout the week.

Well, actually I should be pleased all the rest of the effort this week afforded me a 1lb loss. Could have been more, that’s wholly my fault!

Then, visited with my friend, popped my daughter to pharmacy for tablets, then went for a lovely walk.

It only took 50 minutes, but included in that was a buggar of a hill! I hate this hill. But I didn’t need to stop as I have had to do in the past, I managed, just, to get to the top in one go – WOOHOO!

There are ways round this hill, which we have done, especially when taking children with us, but I specifically wanted to do it today. I mean if I can’t do this hill how am I gonna do the mountain that is Snowdon next year?!?!

I really like this walk. It’s a physically interesting walk, and fairies live in the woods. You might think I’m joking, but I’m not! Their houses are in the trees! Last time we went with nieces i had been reading stories from the magic faraway tree, so they knocked on every door trying to see Moonface and Silky πŸ˜ƒ

Paul took this beautiful picture
The hill!!!!
Me nearly at the top!
As I explained to my nieces on our last visit, a giant lives in the woods!

So, that was our walk, I wish I had thought to take more pics.

We arrived home to some bad news, my neighbours ex wife (they were still on good terms) had been discovered dead in her flat today, my God, she was only 52! Our daughters were the best of friends for years.

We had dinner, and now we are watching newish Robin Hood, so far so good.

Now I’ve probably bored you senseless, I’ll update you on the stats for today.

Food – 6inch sub with tuna mayo, cheese, olives, sweetcorn, pack of crisps, cookie.

Dinner was gammon and pineapple with oven cooked squash, spuds, aubergine, leeks and onions. I’ve run out of garlic puree, so baked the veggies with dried herbs, Chinese five spice and olive oil. I prefer garlic puree.

Fluid – 3 teas, 0.5l water. I’ll have 200ml milk shortly, and another 0.5l water.

And Paul’s just brought in crisps! This is the bag we’ve had for over a month. I’ve seen them now. I’ll try not to eat too many!

Good night for now.

My eyes – day 9/21 – product trial

Evening all, I promise you it’s not yet Halloween… just my delightful face staring down the barrel of a camera!

So here’s tonight’s pics, if you wouldn’t mind commenting if you see any difference from pic 1 to pic 2 in either or none of my baggies under eyes, I would appreciate it πŸ‘

Day 9/21

As always my friends, Thank you 😊

WOOHOO another 1lb down!

Hey all, hope you are well 😊

Great news… I’ve lost another 1lb!!!

I know this doesn’t sound a lot, but I am pleased as punch with it!

Last Saturday night I reckon I drank and ate a good couple of thousand calories, I’ve guestimated 3 days worth of calories, and yet I managed to lose weight thanks to sensible eating and exercising for the rest of the week.

So, roll on next week!

Good luck to you all this coming week in your own journeys πŸ€—

My eyes – day 8/21 – product trial

Hmmmm, I think I will give this trial three weeks and not two.

As usual, as your looking at my pics, if you notice a difference on either eye from first to second pic, please leave a comment, or none if no difference noticed 😊

Day 8/21

As always, Thank you 😊

18th Oct 2019 – goodish food day, hoping for a good exercise day!

My sitting room!

Evening all, hope you’re well.

As you can see from my photo, we have two of our nieces for the evening, and my sitting room is no longer a calm refuge…. in fact the floor is lava, so the carpet can not be stepped on 🀣

So, whilst the loonies are running ragged, here’s my update:

Food – disaster this morning, walked out the house without my nuts and fruit and egg, so I spent the morning hungry, not just hungry but HANGRY!

Lunch was not just with my mum and sister, but my daughter and aunt as well!

My aunt is going back to Canada for a while, my cousin isn’t at the point where she needs support at the moment.

Now, my mum had belly pork, my aunt had a mixed grill, my sister had ravioli and my daughter had a wrap and chips. Surrounded by such delicious food. How could I resist, I mean, it all looked so amazing… Well, i had chicken salad – WOOHOO… GO ME!

My small salad bowl
Family dinner out
My salad!

Now, I wasn’t entirely good, I did Nick a chip, a ravioli and a slither, and I do mean a slither, of belly pork.

This was washed down with Pepsi max.

This evening we had Friday fish and chips, healthier than chip shop fish and chips.

A child stealthily nicking some peas!
Nieces! Oh and Paul

Fluid – 200ml milk (tried and liked semi skimmed), a pint of Pepsi max, 2 teas, 1litre of water. There will be a small glass of baileys in about an hour!

Exercise – none… yet! I plan to do strength exercises before I go to bed!

So, now I’m off to rescue my russian dolls (every single young niece is endlessly fascinated by my russian dolls!)

Speak later. πŸ€—
